Why is it that Gokey bothers me so much? I'm sure he really is a nice guy, but I have actually no feeling for him whatsoever. During his "Gokey Day" reel, I could have cared less. But during Kris's and Glambert's reels, I was teary. Something that seemed to stand out in their reels was the amount of little kids who were so excited to see them. I don't even particularly like little kids, but I thought this was incredibly touching.
I had totally forgotten about Jordin Sparks. I can't say I tried to remember anything about why I might have liked her since I fast forwarded through her performance. And I'm sure Katy Perry was great with all the Vegas stuff, but I breezed by.
As people can imagine, I am more than thrilled for my boyfriend and Glambert.

Actually I think you're picking up that Gokey is a self-absorbed ass. His remark that he's like someone in a story who overcomes a tragedy and goes on to great things made me want to vomit -- he's so egocentric that his wife's death is just a bump in the road for him to ride out, something that contributes to his greater glory? I'm sure most people would say I'm overreacting, but the woman's death wasn't about HIM. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteKris' dad totally made me cry. Did we see Adam's parents? I was switching back and forth between AI and the basketball game.
I think Kris will win -- I read something about Kris also being a megachurch guy and I can't imagine any of Gokey's fans moving to Adam, so if the difference really was only a million between Kris and Adam, Kris will kick ass.
You're both so right about Gokey - that whole self-absorbed, self-appointed success story is just nauseating. And where/how does he get all of those glasses? Brandon, you are so much nicer than I am - I'm not even remotely convinced that he is a nice guy.
